Stories Captured

Some of the most treasured wedding photos I capture are characterised by

the unique story the couple wants to celebrate.

Some are cozy and intimate,

others euphoric and extravagant

- but all are a reflection of the couple.

Below are some of these special moments, from incredible love stories that I have recently been privileged enough to help each couple tell.

Jack & Ellen

THE ENCHANTED LOVERS

"Jack & I [Ellen] met through my housemate, who had known Jack since his youth. One day he came over to check the new place out, and, well... that wasn't the only thing he checked out that day. From the beginning, both Jack and I would describe ourselves as very joyful souls who love being around one another and values our inner circle immensely. When it came to planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to be intentional about it, truly reflecting who we were, and that meant challenging a lot of traditions. Both Jack and I were in a very public industry, which required us to be around a lot of people all of the time. So we knew we didn’t want our wedding to feel like we were onstage. I now know what it means when they say, ‘be careful what you wish for,’ as twenty-eight hours before our wedding, we went into a snap three-day lockdown.

Due to Jack’s parents flying home to Africa in the days that followed, we decided to proceed three days later, on Monday, the 11th of January 2021, with a guest list of 20. Despite the sudden change of plans, it actually gifted us something that we would now recommend to anyone. This twenty-person, intimate wedding gave us the best gift of all: time with the people who matter the most. It was utterly perfect. And throughout it all, Kyle was a consistency amongst the crazy.

Jack and I always knew we wanted Kyle. Through some of the toughest moments of not knowing if our wedding was proceeding, Kyle was not only personally comforting but changed his schedule fit our last minute plans. ‘You tell me where I need to be, and when, and I’ll make it happen’. When the day came, he had the perfect balance of adapting to our every evolving plans, allowing the wedding to unfold and directing us in a clear and positive way, which made us feel assured and looked after. Logistics aside, Kyle is a true artist. His photographs have a fingerprint that is uniquely his. He merged his and our vision into perfect harmony, and produced photographs that we will treasure forever. He captured the pure joy and deep friendship that our relationship is built on, all the while maintaining the highest quality and staying true to his own brand. Kyle over delivered in every way, and we could not recommend him highly enough."

THE ROOFTOP PARTY

"We were looking for a photographer who understood the assignment of our wedding and who we are as a couple, and Kyle absolutely nailed it!

As a wedding videographer myself (Elise), we looking for someone who was able to capture our bold and unique style as a couple, not your “typical" wedding photographer who will just get the same old shots. As a couple, we had quirky moments we wanted to incorporate into our day and also stereotypical shots/traditions we wanted to ditch.

Kyle was more than happy to work with us and helped capture those moments in a fun and fresh way. Kyle's style is so unique and beautiful - he sees and captures the magic in moments but will get super creative with shots. We honestly had the best time getting photos done and Kyle helped create that fun and comfortable atmosphere.

Kyle captured both our engagement and wedding photos and we honestly couldn't recommend him highly enough!"

The picnic romantics

"Our vision for our wedding was to have a relaxing day celebrating our love with our loved ones. We planned to have our wedding at a gorgeous macadamia nut farm styled around a bushland Australia theme and have a relaxed ceremony with a picnic-style afternoon tea and reception, including a cricket game for the cricket-crazy groom.

When we shared our dream with Kyle, he was immediately excited to join the journey and was able to share some awesome ideas. He suggested an engagement shoot, which we would highly recommend, and we all just had a blast; hanging with Kyle during the shoot and getting to know him just gave us confidence that he would be amazing on the wedding day.

After Covid changed our plans, we went to a 20-person ceremony and reception, a decision which changed to be within 4 days of the event. Kyle was amazing and immediately adapted to our new plan and just fit in so well with the day that it almost felt like he was part of the family.

We LOVE our photos, and we would absolutely recommend Kyle for your special day!"

The 20 Wedding Year

As of 2024, I will be working exclusively with 20 couples each year.

The pursuit of capturing an entire love story in a few photographs isn't achieved on the day.

It requires months of communication, being available to the couple and working tirelessly to understand the love that is shared and the day that has been dreamed.

For this reason, I limit my bookings to 20 weddings each year.

So that I can offer my undivided attention to the couple and do justice to the story they are telling.

Let's chat Engagements!

Whether you're planning to drop the knee, or have already popped the question;

an engagement shoot is the perfect way to make the big announcement and shrug away any camera nerves before your big day!
